The Adventure Continues: A New Team Joins to Complete D*Fuzed

Maybe you remember that we announced D*Fuzed a few years ago, developed by Asobitech / Quang DX. For the past two years, the development has faced delays due to personal challenges experienced by Quang, which unfortunately hindered progress.

To ensure the game's completion and quality, we have reached an agreement with Quang to acquire D*Fuzed’s rights and finish the game development. This decision is made with both Quang’s and our customers interests in mind, aiming to honor his original vision while delivering the game promptly. Continuing to develop the game has added more stress and pressure on him, and we believe that by removing this task from his mind, we are allowing him to focus on his well-being. Our goal is to support Quang while ensuring that D*Fuzed reaches you in the best possible form.

We are pleased to share that Fran Matsusaka, the talented developer behind Wing Warriors for Game Boy Color, is stepping in to complete the development of D*Fuzed.

Fran is a computer and video game enthusiast, having a special passion for classic games from the 80s and 90s. He has worked in the video game industry for more than ten years, on mobile devices and consoles such as Playstation 4 and Switch. Currently he works doing therapeutic psychology in VR.

He is supported by Eric Mack, editor-in-chief of GB Studio Magazine and producer/project manager on Nike’s Cosmic Climb for the Game Boy Color (2024). He serves as project manager for the rest of D*Fuzed’s production and assists with any design-related needs as we finish crafting the game.

Fran and Eric’s dedication and expertise make them the ideal team to bring D*Fuzed to completion. They are fully committed to maintaining the game’s high standards and preserving Quang’s original vision. Working closely with him on a daily basis for several months, they are refining every detail to deliver the best possible experience.

We’re happy to report that development is progressing well, and a new demo is now available (see below)!
