The game development started with the new team three months ago, and we are happy to share with you a new demo of D*Fuzed. Before diving into the demo details, here is some more information about what you will find in D*Fuzed:
A Story Mode, structured as follows:
- 6 areas (Beach, Jungle, Castle, Volcano, [🤫], and [2×🤫]), each composed of 3 levels of increasing difficulty
- An additional 4th level per stage, where you need to save one of Deef’s friends
- Each new stage introduces between 1 and 3 new types of hazards!
- A big bad boss at the end of the game
- Plenty of fun!
A Danger Room:
Like in X-Men, the Danger Room is a survival mode where all the game hazards can combine to give you the ultimate D*Fuzed experience. We don’t call it the Danger Room for nothing! We aim to make this mode an infinite challenge, allowing you to play for just five minutes or hours!
The first demo included only the first area (the Beach). To show you the progress we’ve made over the last few months, this new demo lets you test the first level of the first four stages—Beach, Jungle, Castle, and Volcano—so you can experience the new hazards.
Here are the four stages, starting with the Beach:
Then the Jungle:
And the Castle:
And finally, the Volcano:
Here is an exclusive preview of one of the new hazards introduced in the Castle stage—the Cannon! Cannonballs cross the screen, moving at the same time as Deef. The first bomb that makes contact will explode, and if you touch a cannonball, you’re roasted!
Development status
Fran has completely finished the first 5 areas and the 9 related hazards, along with the credits, the options menu, and all the small necessary tweaks in every nook and cranny!
He’s now working on area 6 (the last one), and the first of its three hazards is already implemented!
As of now, the remaining parts left to develop are:
- Area 6: 2 hazards
- The Final big bad boss
- The Danger Room mode
As you can see, development is going very well at a fast and steady pace. Therefore, we plan to finish development by the end of April—next month!
After that, QA will begin, followed by the PCB production (All other items are already produced), and the release!
Thank you for your continued support!
