Founded in 2021 with almost thirty games signed in 4 years, we are publisher of retro video game cartridges focused on 8-bit handheld consoles.
Many retro gamers consider Incube8 Games the gold standard. We publish retro video game cartridges and offer developers turnkey publishing solutions for physical releases. Using quality PCBs and boxes, we’re capable of manufacturing complete physical in-box cartridge releases and a variety of add-ons for premium collector’s editions.
We ran a successful Kickstarter campaign to complete Infinity, a twenty-year-old unfinished RPG for Game Boy Color, and have signed numerous homebrew titles such as Genesis (1&2), Pine Creek, The Year After, Deadeus, The Machine, Magipanel, IndestructoTank!, Wing Warriors, Gunship, Gunship DX, Dragonyhm, 2021: Moon Escape, Fix My Heart, Dango Dash, The Mayor of Sanctuary, Kien, Zephyr's Pass, Dracula: Dark Reign, The Metamorphosis Collection, Aaling The Ghost, and more!
In 2023, Incube8 Games expanded further by acquiring Greenboy Cartridge Games, adding titles like Leo Legend, Submarine9, Lunar Journey, Micro Doctor, Where Is My Body, and The Shapeshifter (1, 2, and 3) to our growing library. In 2024, Incube8 Games further expanded its catalog by acquiring the IP for D*Fuzed, a game in development previously owned by Asobitec
2 decades in the making
Originally developed from 1999 to 2001 by Affinix Software, Infinity pushed the humble Game Boy Color to its absolute limits. But as the handheld’s retail lifespan ended and the market shifted to the Game Boy Advance, publishing struggles mounted. The Affinix team eventually went their separate ways, and the project was formally canceled in 2002 — leaving Infinity as one of gaming’s great “what-ifs.”
Interest in this lost gem never faded. In 2016, an unfinished version was released as a free ROM, sparking renewed excitement among retro fans who saw Infinity as one of the last great Game Boy Color titles.
Two decades after its cancellation in 2021, we launched a Kickstarter campaign to revive the project, acquired the rights to the game, and dedicated ourselves to finishing what was started so long ago. An incredible 3,458 backers pledged CA$ 370,823 to help bring Infinity back to life. After 4 years of hard work, the once-abandoned gem has been reborn into a fully realized RPG — a true miracle comeback in retro gaming history.

Game Story
An ancient, nameless evil stirs beneath the earth, twisting the land and its people alike with its corrupting force. Two rival nations careen toward war, as a shadowy figure arms them both with unholy weapons of immense power. A disgraced knight is called upon to overcome the centuries-old pain that divides these peoples, his own grief, and the malevolent forces fanning the flames of hate.
