Today marks a major milestone for Infinity, as the Kickstarter is now live! It’s been a long time coming, but we’re now one step closer to completing this twenty year old tactical RPG for the Game Boy Color. If you’re keen to get your hands on a piece of gaming history, pledges are now open!
Originally developed by Affinix Software from 1999 to 2001 towards the end of the Game Boy Color’s retail lifespan, the shift in the market towards the Game Boy Advance resulted in the game being formally cancelled in 2002. Following continued interest in the project, an unfinished ROM was released in 2016. Now, in 2021, we are ready to complete this journey, and give Infinity the physical cartridge release it always deserved.
The Kickstarter campaign has a number of pledge tiers, including both digital-only and physical cartridge options, as well as a number of exciting bundles available in limited quantities. In addition, there are a number of interesting potential stretch goals to be unlocked, to further enhance the game as additional funding milestones are met.
